We have recently received the request below and in the meantime have referred Nicky to the Museum of the Ilses.

Dear team,
I am a media producer in Sydney, Australia and working with a well known author, radio presenter and journalist, Sarah Macdonald to write a book about ageing as a woman. Sarah is very keen to find out if there are any living relatives of Flora MacDonald, who she thinks she might be related to. Even if she isn’t, we’d love to find a living relative of Flora’s or an historical expert who could talk about her.
Flora spent time on Benbecula and I’m wondering if I need to approach someone on the island.
We would be grateful for any of your suggestions or help in locating a relative of Flora’s or someone who knows a lot about her.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Nicky
