Friday 13 November Commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the Battle of Sheriffmuir

13.30 rally at Sheriffmuir Inn and take bus provided to the Battlefield. (Those wishing lunch beforehand should inform the Secretary)

14.00 A short ceremony will take place at the two cairns, and Clan MacCrae and the 1745 Association will lay wreaths, followed by a march together, with the CDSH&I banner, along the pathway to the Gathering Stone on top of the wooded moor where the AHCS and Clan Donald will lay wreaths.

(The walk is up a rising rough, but not steep, path which may be wet in places, so appropriate footwear and clothing is recommended. A video of the walk can be found here, courtesy of Chas. MacDonald.)

16.00 Take the bus back to the Inn for afternoon tea.

Please advise the Secretary if you plan to attend, as the AHCS would like names and numbers; also if require transport and would like to have lunch.
