“It occurs to me that a few people might appreciate this information. Even though, because of the lockdown, the funeral will be private (myself, his daughters, their partners and the grandchildren), we would, of course appreciate the thoughts and prayers of friends and clansfolk, wherever they may be.”
The small and private cremation service for Ranald MacDonell of Glengarry, 23rd Chief, will take place on Monday, 1 March at 1.15 p.m. The family would be so grateful if you could take a few moments during that day to remember Ranald. It is hoped that there will be a much larger memorial service of some kind once the Covid restrictions are lifted, whenever that might be.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to St Catherine’s Hospice, where Ranald received such excellent care during the last week of his life and where even a small donation would be put to good use.
