“We are also still looking for volunteers to act as guides for the guided tours once the memorial is open to the public.
“It would be advisable if you are fit enough to climb the 127 steps three or four times during a 2-hour session, but people who are willing to volunteer for ground floor only duty would also be welcome.”

08 January 2026Confidential register of assets in the Museum
Dear Clan Members (and other stakeholders)
We have been made aware that a trustee was directly involved in progressing the potential sale of member-owned objects on loan to the Armadale museum (CDLT) without clear, written consent.
This is unacceptable — it is unethical and may be unlawful.
We will act to halt any such actions immediately.
Trying to protect your property, we are urgently compiling a confidential register of all items members have loaned (past or present) so we can cross-check with museum records and, where necessary, demand an immediate stop to any disposal.
Our community will not tolerate members’ heritage being sold behind their backs.
We can also be contacted using email address vp1@clandonald.org
